G.A.S.P. (Green Hills Assorted Scuba Personnel) GASP is an acronym for Green hills Assorted Scuba Personnel. The team was organized January, 1996, to fill the need for an Underwater Rescue / Recovery in the event of water emergencies in the City of Trenton or Grundy County. The team will respond to water emergencies in a nine (9) county area. They can also be used by law enforcement agencies for evidence recovery or work with citizens to recover lost items in lakes, ponds and rivers. Members consist of 17 volunteers comprised of personnel of the Fire Department (2), Police Department (1), Military (SEAL) (1), Vol F/F (5), Instructor (1), and Citizens (6).
